Sometimes we need to look back before we move forward. Michele

Hey guys so this week we are looking back but also moving forward. Here are 3 things I'd tell my past self and 3 things I hope for my future self!

1. Do what makes you happy and what your heart desires. Apply to the colleges you aren’t 100% sure you’ll get into. If you do get in it will boost your confidence. Attend the college you want to go to and finish because it will boost your confidence.

2. Put your faith in God and work on your relationship with Him. It is all his plan and it will all happen the way he intends for it to as long as you put Him first.

3. Do not let others interfere with your drive to achieve your dreams

Future self

1. I hope you had the experience of living outside of California for at least 1 year…ok maybe 6 months.

2. I hope you let go of the past and found what you have dreamed of.

3. I hope you have no regrets. The only regrets we have in life are the things we did not do.

Keep your dirty laundry off social media!

Hello Chatters! I'm sure we've all been guilty of it at some point venting a bit on social media?! I know in the heat of the moment it's so easy to say what you have to say and hit post and boom there it is for your "friends" to see. Of course your "friends" will respond some may have your back some may not just like if it were face to face right? But remember everything that is online remains online it is out there in cyberspace forever even if you hit the delete button it's still there somewhere. I read an article recently where 80% of candidates looking for a job do not get the job if they do not have a presence on social media. Can you believe that? You may be just as qualified as the next person but if your possible employer cannot find you on google they will not invite you in for an interview. So not only do you need to show up on google you need to show up in a positive light. So with that being said lets get into it.
TMI & Social Media!
Alright guys as you know from listening to the show I am a lady I am the type to follow the rules and I believe that you should follow proper etiquette. We do know that Social Media is a bit of a monster and a new one at that. So things can get a little out of hand at times. Your emotions are running high and you have your phone in hand instead of texting your best friend you send out a tweet and boom everyone can find what was on your mind. Not only did they see it on twitter they see it on Facebook because everyone knows you better link both accounts so you don't have to post something twice...duh! The second you hit send you think "should I have done that?" Obviously no you shouldn't have but too late my friend what's done is done and you can't take it back because those that haven't seen it will hear about it and you better believe the one person you didn't want to know about your little rant will hear about it before the day is done!

Back in the days of Myspace used to post things in Italian so my boyfriend at the time wouldn't know what I was saying. Would I put him on blast in my little Italian rant not really but I would post some great proverbs so if he could figure it out he'd know it was all about us! I used to have a tracker on my page that would tell me who was viewing my page so after we broke up I saw all of the girls who wanted to lurk on my page and snoop to find out what was going on. I finally had to post that I did have the tracker and I could see what they were doing and I'd like them to respect my privacy. It stopped them from snooping as much but not all together.

The thing is I wouldn't do and react the way I did before, back then Social Media was fairly new plus I was in my early 20's and acted on emotions. I wouldn't do that now, I have grown up a lot and have learned from my mistakes. I'm older and wiser now and have learned to think about the consequences of my actions obviously some of those things I had to learn the hard way and get into social media arguments but I learned real quick watch what you say because there are always people watching!

Liar Liar

Hey guys,

People lie for different reasons and no matter what the reason it never makes it right. Mr. Law Enforcement always told me "I will not lie to you, I may withhold information but I will not lie to you." Do I believe withholding info that may harm me be a way of lying? Yes i do. The things that he withheld he felt were meaningless and would hurt me for no good reason, so why would someone you love do anything meaningless or not, knowing it would hurt you? I can understand his way of thinking but do I think it was right? No! The truth is I always found out, if he was withholding the fact that he ran into a girl that I knew had eyes for him somewhere and they had a conversation to me it wouldn't have been an issue at all if he had told me. The issue was always the fact that he never mentioned it. In cases like that it seems like there is an ulterior motive for not mentioning it. A way for him to be shady and keep his options open.

There was this one time I lied to my parents I told them I was studying after school in reality I was trying out for the cheerleading squad. My parents had told me I could not try out this particular year because my grades had slipped and they wanted them to be better. I lied to them and they found out when someone congratulated my mom on her daughter making Varsity! She had no idea I had even tried out because they said I couldn't do it. Was that right NO! I should have listened to them they said I couldn't do it I couldn't do it but that's the way the world is if people want something bad enough they find ways to make it happen. Should they lie, cheat or steal to get what they want NO WAY! Do some people do that? Yes they do! It does not mean it's okay or right.

Do I think that I may get what's coming to me through my future children? YES I SURE DO! They always say your children are twice as bad as you were. Well I can say I'm glad I haven't had any children yet because the older I get the better I get and maybe the good things I've done will out weigh the bad and my kids wont be THAT bad! lol Back to lying!

Do people lie just to lie? Sure they do! Maybe it's fun for them or something I really don't know but I will say this. Washington lied to me! Yes chatters you read that right! Washington pulled the wool over my eyes and he played the part of "good guy" really good! He made me think he really cared! He said he was leaving on deployment and that's why he didn't want to start anything new! No that's not true he didn't leave he's still here! (More on how I found out on the live show!) I honestly wish the best for Washington there comes a time when you have to stop beating a dead horse and this is the time. He obviously lied because he wanted to date someone(s) else and that's fine. I hope he's found what he's looking for. I also hope he doesn't lie anymore that really ruins relationships because women always find out and once the trust is gone you cannot get it back.

Snooping - Michele

Hey Guys!

I hope you enjoyed your Valentine weekend! I seriously enjoyed this 4 day weekend. Of course about a month and a half ago I thought my birthday and Valentine's day would play out differently, I envisioned spending some time with Washington but we all know how that played out. I do have an update tune into the show on Thursday for that! Now about snooping and creeping on social media! As you all know from our previous episode about Social Media: Friend or Foe, you know that I think social media is a foe.

During my relationship with Mr. Law Enforcement we had issues with ladies trying to get at him on social media. People are disgusting! Mr. Law Enforcement would ignore these advances and always ask me "If people see someone happy why can't they just leave them alone?" #TrueStory The truth is people want what they can't have! If they are miserable they want others to suffer as well, it is what it is, sad but true. Mr. Law Enforcement ended up cheating on me and I found things out through social media, every time Mr. Law Enforcement screwed up I found out through social media, I'd see a picture of him out when he said he wasn't going to go out. I'd see he had a new lady friend on one of the social media sites a lady I knew was interested in him romantically. I'd see a flirtatious comment or an inside joke. It was easy to catch Mr. Law Enforcement! We had been linked for so many years and were best friends I could read him like the back of my hand. It didn't really take snooping or creeping to find things out it'd just show up in my news feed or it'd be there on his page when I was leaving a comment. He was a bad liar and from the first night we ever hung out romantically he told me just that!

Now with Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, being so popular it's easy for new love interests to find things out about each other. Or even professional contacts to Google you or find you on LinkedIn. While dating Mr. Minnesota and snooping on him I found things out about him that he wasn't ready to share with me and I realized that I didn't think that was fair to him or to anyone else I dated after him. So with anyone I've dated after him I never Googled or looked them up on Social Media until after it was over. I want the men that I date to open up to me in their own time and vice versa I understand at this age everyone will have their own baggage some more than others. My co-workers could not believe that I had not Googled Washington when I finally told them I was dating him, they really encouraged me to do so but I refused I wanted him to feel safe to open up to me in his own time. Which I believe he did!

Now after things are on the outs I cannot lie I have done my fair share of FB creeping and Googling. Aren't you ever curious as to who you were spending time with?

As far as snooping in person I have never done that, I feel if you are in a place where you feel like you need to snoop that's not a relationship you should have. No matter what kind of relationship you may have with this person. If I ever have kids, will I snoop on my children? I hope not, I hope my child(ren) feel like they can openly talk to me about anything.

Hot Topcs and Winter Olympics by Michele

Hey Chatters!

Okay so our hot topics last night were things that I want to talk about here as well as of course the winter games (Go Team USA!)

22 year old leads children into traffic

First of all I don't care if you are generation X, Generation Y, Generation XY whatever you are. At the age of 18 in the US you are considered an adult. A 22 year old woman was given the responsibility of babysitting her friends young children both under the age of 5. One child under 5 to babysit is enough but these parents trusted her to watch their children. For her to even have them out of the house at 11 at night on a week night is heinous! Children need structure and a child under the age of 5 should be in bed at that time of the night. Then she took it a step further and was very intoxicated while out and about with these children in the middle of the night. Not only did she do that but she led them out into the street into oncoming traffic where the children were hit by an SUV. Luckily the children were okay but who does that? That is not okay and if I were a parent of those children that would not be a friend of mine any longer. I don't tolerate stupidity!

Blackfish

If you guys have not watched this documentary do so tonight! It's really good and I think it's true! These animals are wild animals and they snap, they've killed trainers, they are dangerous! Very beautiful and very smart but if you keep something caged up and on a small amount of food they can snap! Just look at how moody people can be can you imagine a thousand pound whale on a bad day? If you guys believe Sea World please let us know why or if you don't believe Blackfish tell us why you don't. I'd personally love to know your feedback!

Amanda Knox

Have you guys followed this trial? This trial has been going on for what I believe is like 5 years, That's a long time. She has spent some time in an Italian jail I think she spent a year in jail before her lawyers got the first guilty verdict overturned. I don't remember everything that happened but after that was overturned she was returned to the US, I believe she is currently in Washington. Italy tried her again for the murder of her roommate Miranda Kercher. Her and her boyfriend at the time have no been found guilty of murder and Italian authorities captured Amanda's ex at the boarder. Amanda stated that she will not return to Italy and I do not believe that the US will send her back. Do I believe she is guilty I hope not do I think she may know some information probably not because I feel like if she did know something and she did not have any part of it. I'm sure she would have told the Italian authorities everything she knew. Her and her ex boyfriend have no ties now so if he did it I'm sure she would have ratted him out and vice versa. Have they blamed each other? I'll have to research this and let you guys know! If you guys know let us know!

2014 Winter Olympics

To be honest I couldn't care less about the Olympics, I'm more of a summer games type of person! I love the summer games so much I'd love to travel and watch an event! #bucketlist But the winter games I like to watch Ice Skating and that's pretty much it. Sometimes I watch a different game here and there but I don't make sure I watch anything else except Ice Skating. Do I think that Shaun White should compete in both of the events that he planned to I'm torn. I do understand that as an Olympian you are someone who others look up to and that's a lot of responsibility that maybe you didn't sign up for when you started out in your craft. But the second you qualify for the Olympics you know that's what you're signing up for. He is letting down the US by withdrawing from one event but at the same time he does need to do what's best for him. It wouldn't be smart to compete in one event and get extremely hurt and not be able to compete in his "main" event. It is up the children's parent's to explain to them why he withdrew from the event and talk to them about it. See where they stand maybe the child will say 'I'd compete anyway' just talk to your children and see what they think about the situation. Future generations are the ones that really matter cuz they are the future of this country!
